Job Description

A small animal general practice in Burlingame is hiring a full-time veterinarian. The hospital opened in 2024 and was built from the ground up for general practice. The facility handles the full range of GP work: preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, and routine surgery.

The caseload is a mix of wellness, chronic disease management, and same-day urgent cases. Appointments are scheduled to allow time for proper workups and client conversations. Support staff are trained and present, and virtual care is available to help manage continuity.

There is on-site veterinary leadership and 5 doctors on staff. The hospital is still developing its systems and protocols, and you are expected to contribute to that process. This is not a role where everything is already decided.

• DVM or equivalent with eligibility to practice in California
• Comfortable with routine surgery and dentistry or willing to build those skills
• Able to manage medical cases independently while knowing when to collaborate
• Communicates clearly and directly with clients
• Interested in being part of a developing hospital rather than a fixed system
• Values practicing thorough, consistent medicine over rushing volume

• Base salary in the range of 125,000 to 180,000 with production bonus
