Job Description
I’m thrilled to be partnering with a long-established mixed animal hospital in Creston, BC. This independently minded, community-oriented practice has been a cornerstone of veterinary care in the Kootenays for nearly 50 years.
The hospital sees a diverse caseload, including dogs, cats, dairy and beef cattle, equine, and a variety of other species from surrounding rural communities. With a strong legacy rooted in the practice’s founder, the clinic has always emphasized high-quality medicine, community service, and teamwork.
Their facility features digital radiology, digital dental radiology, a portable X-ray unit for fieldwork, ultrasound (portable and in-house), an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, a medical-grade laser, and comprehensive large and small animal surgical capabilities. The team is built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning, making this an ideal place for both experienced mixed-animal veterinarians and new graduates seeking strong clinical support.
Emergency and after-hours responsibilities are shared fairly through a rotating on-call schedule, ensuring balance across the team. The leadership places strong value on maintaining a healthy work-life balance, something made even more meaningful in a region as beautiful as the Creston Valley.
If you’re looking for true clinical variety, a supportive mixed animal team, and the opportunity to grow your skill set in a well-equipped environment, this could be the perfect next step.
