Job Description
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Veterinarian to join our well-established, five-doctor team in Desoto, TX. This is a rare opening due to the exceptionally low staff turnover, making it an ideal time to become part of the AAHA-accredited, highly regarded, stand-alone hospital.
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled and supportive team. The hospital is home to a large, experienced support staff (5-6 per DVM) enabling you to concentrate on delivering the highest standard of care to your patients. The current veterinarians bring over 75 years of collective experience and are genuinely passionate about mentoring, making this role ideal for both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates. The clinic has built a loyal client base over the past 50 years and is known for its exceptional service in the local DeSota area.
This progressive hospital is well-equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, including Ultrasound, EKG, and state-of-the-art digital radiology, allowing for efficient on-site diagnosis and treatment. If you have an interest in surgery, you’ll appreciate the significant volume of soft tissue surgeries and the dedicated surgery day. The clinic also provides advanced procedures and treatments such as oxygen and transfusion therapy, cardiology, and cold laser therapy. The hospital is committed to supporting your clinical interests with an impressive CE allowance and a diverse caseload, enabling you to focus on what you enjoy most. Additionally, the clinic places a strong emphasis on preventative care and client education, helping to foster long-lasting relationships with patients and their families.
The hospital places a high priority on work-life balance, offering flexible scheduling options to accommodate your personal needs. Veterinarians typically work 4/10 shifts and rotate Saturday mornings about once every three weeks, allowing for easy advance planning. They also offer a generous PTO allowance, ensuring you have ample time to rest and recharge.
