Job Description
An incredibly unique opportunity to join a private, AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor hospital in a fantastic Fort Worth, TX location!
Established in 1975, this hospital has been a pillar of the Fort Worth community for almost 50 years! They have developed a stellar reputation in the area for providing high-quality care and, in turn, earned a large loyal client base. They have a fantastic team of three doctors, who are assisted by an excellent team of veterinary technicians and support staff. There will always be two technicians per doctor, and a floating technician will be available when required. The clinic has an incredible staff retention rate, and the least tenured member of staff has been with the practice for two years!
Both new graduate candidates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply! Due to the extensive level of expertise of the team and passion for teaching, you will be well supported in your new role, no matter your level of experience – offering a dedicated mentorship program tailored to you and your individual needs. This busy clinic is extremely well-managed in a highly efficient manner and you will have the autonomy to make important clinical decisions in practice.
Walking into this modern, 6,000 sqft. hospital is like a breath of fresh air, home to the latest technology and facilities you will have everything you need to provide outstanding levels of care to cats, dogs, and pocket pets! Certain facilities include digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, wireless ultrasound, video otoscopy machines in each exam room, therapeutic and surgical laser, advanced surgical equipment, QBEX machine, and more. Other features include four spacious exam rooms, a consultation room, a euthanasia room, and a fully equipped surgical suite. The full-service clinic is home to grooming and boarding facilities as well as an in-house crematorium to ensure animals are cared for at every stage of life.
When it comes to scheduling, the owner is incredibly flexible and appreciates everyone has their own preferences. Both full-time and part-time applicants are encouraged to apply. A full-time vet will very rarely exceed 40 hours per week, roughly working 4x 9-hour shifts. Weekends are optional, currently the clinic is closed on the weekend but the ability to work occasional Saturdays would be a bonus! The hospital is closed between 1pm-2pm to give staff members a dedicated break for lunch.
