We’re working with a thriving, privately owned small animal hospital that has seen tremendous growth over the past five years! With a loyal and growing client base and a strong focus on evidence-based medicine, the hospital is now looking to welcome a third veterinarian to join its established team.

Enjoy working alongside experienced Veterinarians as well as a board-certified surgeon daily to allow maximum career and clinical growth!

The hospital has been fully renovated into a modern, spacious facility. It features a large lobby, four spacious exam rooms, a doctor’s office, a large treatment area, a dedicated ultrasound room, a full surgery suite, and a dental suite. They’re well-equipped with ultrasound and surgical facilities, and they collaborate with board-certified surgeons and radiologists for advanced ultrasound interpretation.

The current team comprises two full-time veterinarians and a board-certified surgeon, including the owner, who focuses on soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and emergency cases, as well as another experienced, all-around general practice doctor and a board-certified surgeon specializing in orthopedics and complex soft tissue surgeries. This team takes a collaborative approach to cases and values mentorship, making this a welcoming environment for both experienced doctors and motivated new graduates.

The role is part-time, with a flexible schedule of 2–4 days per week, + one Saturday per month (optional), and no Sunday shifts or on-call responsibilities. Appointment times are set at 30 minutes each, ensuring you have time to focus on thorough, quality medicine. We are looking for either a new graduate veterinarian keen to get stuck in and learn from experienced doctors, or an experienced veterinarian who is able to hit the ground running, while also exploring their career growth with collaboration from their hospital owner!

DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in California
1–2+ years of experience preferred, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
Open-minded and eager to learn the hospital’s evidence-based approach to medicine
