Job Description
A well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Jacksonville is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its collaborative and supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected general practice that blends high clinical standards with a genuinely team-focused environment. The hospital is well-equipped to provide high-quality everyday medicine and surgery, with access to digital radiology, dental X-ray, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, an in-house pharmacy, surgical facilities, hospitalization, intensive care support, and oxygen/transfusion therapy. The practice also offers a broad range of services across preventive care, diagnostics, dentistry, general surgery, internal medicine, and urgent day cases, making this a varied and engaging caseload for a veterinarian who enjoys both wellness and sick-patient work.
You’d be joining a friendly two-doctor team supported by experienced assistants, a credentialed veterinary technician, hospital leadership, and dedicated client service staff. The Medical Director is a University of Florida graduate with extensive experience in the Jacksonville area and a particular interest in small-animal surgery, fostering a strong environment for collaboration and clinical support. For newer doctors, this role is a strong fit, with mentorship available and genuine encouragement for students and recent graduates to apply.
The schedule offers consistency without overnight demands, with the hospital open Monday to Friday and on Saturday only during daytime hours. This is a great fit for a veterinarian who wants to practice high-quality medicine in a modern setting, backed by robust infrastructure, progressive workflows, and a team that values patient care, trust, and professional growth. Compensation is flexible based on experience, and the broader package includes comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement support, CE funding, paid CE days, parental leave, and access to extensive internal learning resources.
