Job Description
Looking for a practice where you can focus on good medicine with the backing of an experienced team? This established hospital offers the caseload, support, and autonomy to do exactly that.
A well-established small animal general practice in the Monrovia, California area is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join its three-doctor team. For decades, this hospital has built lasting relationships with local pet owners by providing thoughtful, personalized care rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. The team has earned a strong reputation within the community for taking the time to educate clients, tailoring treatment plans to individual patients, and maintaining a high standard of care across both preventive and medical cases.
The practice sees a balanced caseload of around 14 patients per doctor each day, allowing appointments to remain manageable while offering plenty of variety. Alongside routine wellness and preventive care, you’ll regularly see internal medicine cases, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and urgent sick appointments. The hospital is well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, digital dental imaging, in-house laboratory equipment, and laser therapy, giving the team the tools to work cases up thoroughly without unnecessary referrals.
Support is a real strength here. With a three-to-one support staff ratio, experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives work closely with the doctors to keep appointments running efficiently. Collaboration is encouraged; doctors have the autonomy to practice medicine their own way, and leadership is available without micromanaging. Whether you enjoy surgery and dentistry or prefer to focus on consultations and medicine, there is flexibility to shape the role around your strengths.
