We are working with a boutique small-animal hospital that is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join their close-knit two-doctor team.

This state-of-the-art facility offers a calm, low-volume caseload designed to prioritize quality medicine and client communication over rushed appointments. With a maximum of 10 appointments per day and an emphasis on relationship-driven care, this role will suit a doctor who enjoys taking the time to connect with pet owners while practicing high-quality general medicine.

The hospital itself is beautifully equipped, boasting five exam rooms, three dedicated dental tables, a CT scanner, digital radiography, IDEXX in-house lab equipment, and a small ICU. You’ll be supported by two skilled RVTs, three assistants, and a friendly front desk team, creating an efficient, collaborative working environment where your time with patients is truly maximized. With a Monday–Friday 9–5 schedule, no weekends, and no on-call, you’ll enjoy excellent work-life balance while still earning industry-leading compensation.

This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian with at least two years of clinical experience who thrives in general practice and urgent care medicine, but doesn’t necessarily want the demands of advanced surgery.

Low-volume caseload: only a maximum of 10 appointments per day, with focus on quality and client communication

Strong earning potential: $220,000–$300,000 base depending on caseload, plus 20% Pro-Sal

DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in California.
Minimum 2 years of experience in small-animal practice
Strong communicator who enjoys building lasting client relationships
Comfortable managing general practice and urgent care cases (surgery not required)

Competitive base salary up to $300,000 + 20% Pro-Sal
Monday–Friday daytime hours, no weekends, no on-call
