Job Description
This is a truly rare opportunity to join a long-standing, community-focused small animal practice in Prospect, CT.
With more than 45 years of history, this hospital combines a family-feel culture with the modern support of a larger veterinary group. The practice is housed in a purpose-built facility designed specifically for veterinary medicine, featuring five exam rooms (with plans for a sixth), structured doctor schedules, and a supportive team environment.
The veterinary team consists of four doctors ranging from 2 to 20 years’ experience, plus visiting specialists and a former owner who continues to perform advanced surgeries. They are supported by an outstanding staff, including four certified technicians, 13+ assistants, and dedicated CSRs, many of whom have been with the hospital for decades. This creates a collaborative, mentorship-friendly environment where both seasoned veterinarians and new graduates can thrive.
The role offers flexibility: full-time or part-time schedules with no on-call or emergency requirements, and just one Saturday per month. There is also room to explore personal clinical interests, such as exotics or holistic medicine. The practice prides itself on being a “unicorn hospital” and is a place where staff retention is exceptional, the culture is positive and team-first, and veterinarians are truly supported to do their best work.
