Job Description
Atlas is excited to be working with a brand-new, purpose-built urgent care and general practice hospital in Sanford, FL, that is seeking a part-time Veterinarian with flexibility to explore full-time options if desired.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern clinic at an early growth stage, where your voice, clinical judgment, and leadership will genuinely matter.
The hospital is newly opened and state-of-the-art, designed with efficient workflows, modern diagnostics, and a calm, welcoming environment for both pets and people. Currently operating with two experienced veterinarians, the practice is open 7 days a week and delivers a mix of urgent care and general practice, offering a broad range of clinical services without the intensity of a full ER setting.
This role would suit a veterinarian who enjoys collaboration, values medical autonomy, and takes pride in contributing to a positive team culture. You’ll be supported by a leadership team that prioritizes work–life balance, flexibility, and long-term sustainability, while still encouraging high standards of medicine. The hospital operates under a private-practice-plus model, allowing you to practice medicine the way you believe is best, without unnecessary red tape.
They are ideally looking for a veterinarian available 2 days per week, but are very open to conversations around increased hours or a full-time position for the right person.
- Brand-new, state-of-the-art urgent care & GP hospital
- Mix of general practice and urgent care caseload
- Open 7 days per week with flexible scheduling options
- Strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and morale
- True medical autonomy within a private-practice-plus model
- Opportunity to help shape and grow a young, expanding hospital
- Generous signing bonus available
- DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
- You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in Florida
- Comfortable or interested in both GP and urgent care cases
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- Motivated to support team culture and hospital standards
- Competitive compensation with custom offers available
- Paid medical premiums & professional liability coverage
- CE allowance, VIN membership, and paid licenses/dues (incl. DEA)
- 401(k) with company match & optional dental/vision/life insurance
- Paid parental leave, pet care discounts & referral bonuses
