Job Description
We are working on behalf of a beautifully renovated, privately owned, 5-doctor, small-animal hospital in State College, PA – affectionately known as “Happy Valley” – that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its growing team.
With over 30 years of roots in the community, this is the area’s longest-standing independently owned animal hospital, and following a complete renovation and expansion in 2024, the facility is now truly state-of-the-art. Think two surgical suites, a dedicated dentistry suite, separate dog and cat wards, ultrasound and x-ray rooms, an in-house lab and pharmacy, and much more – everything you need to practice high-quality medicine under one roof.
The hospital focuses on lifelong wellness and preventive care for dogs and cats, with the occasional pocket pet keeping things interesting! Services span general and orthopedic surgery, dentistry and oral surgery, ultrasound, reproductive services, laser therapy, and integrative medicine. The team is committed to Fear Free care, creating a calm, low-stress experience for every patient.
What really sets this practice apart is the people. Experienced veterinary nurses provide outstanding support, and the doctors genuinely collaborate – consulting on cases and teaming up in surgery. Whether your passion lies in general medicine, surgery, ultrasound, orthopedics, or dentistry, this is a place where you’ll be encouraged to grow. With a customized mentoring program, true work-life balance (no weekends, no on-call, no emergency hours), and a family-friendly approach to scheduling, this opportunity is hard to beat.
