Associate Veterinarian

A busy walk-in animal hospital in Topeka, KS is looking for a Veterinarian to join its collaborative team!

This is a fast paced, AAHA accredited practice that has served the local community for over 20 years, operating on a true walk-in model that blends general practice with urgent and emergency care. There are no scheduled appointments here, just a well prepared team ready to handle whatever comes through the door, which keeps the caseload varied and the days genuinely interesting.

The hospital sees an average of around 20 patients a day, with a case mix spanning wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. You will be supported by a strong 3 to 1 staff ratio, giving you the backup you need to focus on medicine rather than admin. The facility is well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, in house laboratory capability, a dedicated surgical suite, and a dental suite.

This is a 2-doctor team, including a dedicated medical director, and medical autonomy is genuinely encouraged and celebrated here. You will be joining a collaborative, experienced group that thrives in a fast-paced environment and supports one another through busy days.

The schedule includes a shorter day on Saturdays, rotated between the team, along with flexible scheduling designed to protect a healthy work life balance.

Compensation includes a base salary of $130,000 to $145,000 plus a production bonus, a $10,000 sign on bonus, and industry-leading benefits with no negative accrual on production.
