Job Description
As Medical Director, you will be at the helm of a state-of-the-art facility with a history of providing excellent care for over 50 years. You will be responsible for steering the hospital’s medical practices, mentoring a talented veterinary team, and ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care. This role offers a blend of clinical duties and leadership responsibilities, allowing you to shape the future of a hospital with deep roots in the community.
This hospital is a cornerstone of the community, serving not just Warren County but also surrounding New Jersey and Pennsylvania areas. Originally established over 50 years ago, the hospital has evolved into a modern, fully renovated facility capable of treating a wide range of ailments and diseases for small animals and exotics.
Now fully paperless with a full range of excellent veterinary equipment including digital/dental x-ray, ECG, endoscopy, full inhouse diagnostics, and more. Combined with a team of highly experienced veterinarians, the hospital is proud to offer an exceptional service for local pets and their families.

Your key responsibilities as the Medical Director will include:
Leadership & Mentorship:
Guide and support a dedicated team of five veterinarians and a skilled support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Encourage continuous learning and professional development.
Clinical Excellence:
Oversee all aspects of patient care, managing complex medical and surgical cases. Ensure that the hospital continues to deliver top-tier veterinary services, from treating small animals to exotic species.
Strategic Planning:
Partner with hospital management to develop and implement policies and protocols that enhance the quality and efficiency of care. Play a key role in maintaining and advancing the hospital’s state-of-the-art capabilities.
Client Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service and clear communication.

- Guide and mentor a dedicated team of five experienced veterinarians and skilled support staff.
- Work in a fully renovated, modern hospital equipped with full range of veterinary equipment and all paperless records
- Oversee a wide range of medical and surgical cases, including small animals and exotic species.
- Play a key role in serving a broad community across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with deep roots in local care.
- Flexible work schedule including a four day week
- Live and work in scenic Warren County, NJ, offering a perfect balance of rural charm and proximity to metropolitan amenities.
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited overseas veterinary school.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with a strong background in both medical and surgical cases.
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for mentoring and developing veterinary professionals.
- $180,000-$220,000 salary
