Job Description
Atlas is excited to be working on behalf of a well-established, community-focused small animal hospital in Winterville, NC, seeking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its friendly, collaborative team.
This is a full-service general practice known locally for its personalized approach to care, strong client relationships, and genuinely positive team culture.
The hospital operates from a modern, well-equipped facility with in-house diagnostics, a dedicated surgical suite, and an efficient workflow designed to support high-quality medicine without burnout. The medical team is led by an experienced Medical Director alongside a highly supportive Practice Manager, creating an environment where veterinarians are trusted, heard, and given absolute medical autonomy. You’ll be supported by a skilled and compassionate nursing team and have access to structured mentorship, making this a particularly attractive option for newer graduates as well as experienced doctors seeking a refreshing change.
Professional growth is actively encouraged through generous CE support, hands-on mentorship, and access to a wider veterinarian-led network that values individuality rather than corporate “one-size-fits-all” medicine. The practice places a strong emphasis on work-life balance, ensuring you can enjoy a sustainable schedule while still practicing high-quality veterinary medicine. (And yes — there’s even a beloved clinic cat who brings extra personality to the day!)
