Our client’s specialty clinic, based in Portland, OR, is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Medical Director to lead the team! For over 30 years, our partners have been serving the Vancouver and Portland area and is now seeking a passionate MD to join their team!
As the new Medical Director, you’ll have the ability to wear multiple hats, from mentoring associate veterinarians and ensuring regulatory compliance to providing exceptional patient care! As medical director, you’ll be the driving force behind hospital operations, working closely with the hospital’s leadership and operations team to ensure the financial success and continued growth of the hospital. The clinic is a 15,000 sq.ft, state-of-the-art facility, recently remodeled in 2019! It’s jam-packed with cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment tools, including MRI, CT, Echocardiography, and specialized surgical equipment. You’ll not only guide their veterinary staff but also be a key player in shaping their hospital culture and providing top-notch care to a diverse caseload of patients.
In this supporting and collaborative hospital, your experience is valued! They’re offering a varied caseload, drawing from a loyal referral base and a dedicated community of pet owners! Your leadership should inspire a team that thrives on delivering the highest level of veterinary medicine. The hospital is offering a flexible schedule to suit you – 3 or 4 days per week would be perfect for them, with very occasional weekend coverage required. Not only can you enjoy a great work-life balance, due to the success of the clinic, they can reward their doctors heavily from a compensation point of view. With a starting salary of around $225,000 with a limited $275,000 base salary, along with additional perks, including PTO. - 5+ years clinical experience within specialty veterinary medicine.
- Working with small animals (Canine & Feline)
- Achieved board-certification in the chosen specialty.
- The ability to communicate well with clients and team members alike.
- Passionate about providing high levels of clinical care..
- To hold an Oregon state veterinary board License
- Flexible, non-emergency schedules on offer, just 3 or 4 days per week.
- No on-call duties or night shifts
- $225,000-$275,000 base salary on offer for the right doctor.
