Job Description
Join a privately-owned, specialist-led hospital group as we open our brand-new, 15,000 sq ft flagship facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Built from the ground up with input from top-tier specialists, this facility is designed for high-performance medicine with cutting-edge technology and a layout that supports seamless collaboration. With sister hospitals already thriving in Daytona and Orange Park, this new hospital represents a bold expansion rooted in a deep commitment to clinical excellence—not corporate volume.
We’re seeking a Criticalist (DACVECC) or an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to lead the development of a gold-standard ECC service at this Jacksonville hospital. You’ll be supported by a well-staffed team of ICU and ER technicians and work alongside specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, and Oncology. This is a unique chance to build and shape a service from day one, alongside leadership who understand what ECC doctors need to thrive, and have built the space and team to match.
With oceanfront living, riverwalks, and endless outdoor adventure, Jacksonville offers a rare balance of urban amenities and natural beauty. Combine that with high earning potential, no state income tax, and a supportive team culture, and you’ve got the full package.
- 15,000 sq ft purpose-built hospital launching in Jacksonville
- Proudly privately-owned ownership structure that encourages clinical autonomy
- Shape ECC services in a collaborative, specialist-led environment
- Flexible schedule to suit your preferences
- Generous compensation model with up to 25% production
- Specialist-owned group focused on medical excellence, not quotas
- Board-certified Criticalist (DACVECC) or experienced ER DVM
- Passionate about leading and growing emergency services
- Collaborative by nature and committed to gold-standard care
- Comfortable working within a multi-specialty team
- Licensed (or license-eligible) in Florida
- Incredible earning potential, $250k+
- No negative accrual in Year 1 to support ramp-up
- 100% employer-paid healthcare coverage
- 401(k) retirement plan with match
- CE stipend (negotiable) + all license and membership fees covered
- Four weeks PTO with flexibility for additional time
