Job Description
This is a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Ventura that’s been open since 2018. It was started by five board-certified veterinarians who wanted to build an ER and specialty practice that runs with strong standards, good medicine, and a culture where people can keep learning without being thrown in the deep end.
They are looking for an Emergency Veterinarian to join their hospital, which sees a steady mix of walk-in emergencies and referrals from local primary care clinics, so your caseload stays varied and interesting. The hospital is also built to handle critical patients properly, with a large multi-unit ICU, a dedicated isolation room, and a separate space just for cats. It’s a setup that supports better monitoring, cleaner workflow, and less scrambling when things get busy.
You’ll also have access to specialty support, including internal medicine available six days a week for consults and case help. Doctors round daily and talk cases through as part of how the hospital operates, so you’re not stuck making every decision in a vacuum when a case gets complicated.
If you enjoy emergency surgery, there’s room to do more of it here, along with the full range of ER medicine that comes through a 24/7 hospital. The team is looking for someone who’s steady, detail-oriented, and communicates clearly with clients, especially when things are stressful and time matters.
