Job Description
An innovative, fast-growing small animal hospital in the Lakewood area of Dallas, TX, is looking to welcome a Lead Veterinarian to its ambitious and passionate team!
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for a clinician who wants more than just a great job. The clinic was founded in 2023, so you have a real opportunity to shape the clinic’s future and the people within it. Whether you are an experienced veterinarian looking to formalize a leadership role or a driven associate ready to take the next step, this practice offers the platform, support, and culture to make that transition a success.
The clinic delivers a varied and rewarding caseload across general practice and urgent care, including wellness, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery, so comfort in these areas will be important. You will work within a well-resourced, thoughtfully designed clinical environment, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and an in-house technology platform that takes the weight of admin off your shoulders, freeing you up to focus on what you do best. Appointments are scheduled at 30-minute intervals. A full schedule would be 16 appointments per day. If you enjoy urgent care, you can increase your hospital’s caseload by offering walk-in services.
The leadership aspect of this role is just as important as the clinical one. You will play a central role in guiding and developing a team of veterinarians, setting the standard for clinical quality, and fostering an environment where people feel supported, valued, and motivated to do their best work. Collaboration with clinic management on the practice’s broader performance and direction will also be part of your remit.
This is a practice that has been built with its people in mind. Structured scheduling, a consistent four-day working week, and a genuine commitment to sustainable and enjoyable careers set it apart from more traditional models. One to two weekend days per month are expected as part of the schedule.
If you are looking for a role where high-quality medicine, clinical autonomy, and personal well-being are treated as equally important, this could be a great fit for you. Reach out to the team at Atlas to find out more!
