Job Description
A full-service small animal hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado is hiring a Medical Lead Veterinarian to guide the clinical team while continuing to practice high-quality medicine.
This established hospital has built a strong reputation within the local community, reflected by its AAHA accreditation and excellent client feedback.
The practice delivers a broad range of general practice services alongside advanced diagnostics and treatment, including orthopedics, cardiology, comprehensive ultrasound, routine and advanced surgery, and dentistry. You’ll have access to internal specialist consultation and the resources needed to manage a wide variety of medical and surgical cases without feeling professionally isolated.
The hospital operates Tuesday through Friday, giving the team regular three-day weekends with the practice closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, aside from occasional Saturday appointments by arrangement. As Medical Lead, you’ll work closely with the Practice Manager to support both the clinical and operational success of the hospital. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll mentor associate veterinarians, help develop medical standards, lead regular doctor meetings, support mentorship and externship programs, and create a collaborative culture focused on excellent patient care. You’ll continue seeing your own cases while helping the wider team develop their confidence and skills.
