Here at Atlas, we are working on behalf of this hospital to find a Medical Director who’s ready to take the lead in a thriving, state-of-the-art environment dedicated solely to emergency medicine.
This hospital has proudly served as Charlottesville’s only dedicated emergency animal hospital for over 15 years, providing critical, compassionate care around the clock. With a recently completed modern remodel, the facility now boasts cutting-edge medical equipment, a fully equipped surgical suite (including electrocautery and a ventilator), digital radiography, 24/7 board-certified consults, bedside ultrasound, and a full in-house lab covering blood work, electrolytes, and clotting time analysis.
You’ll be stepping into a high-functioning, collaborative environment, supported by skilled technicians, a cohesive team of veterinarians, and immediate access to specialty care through an in-house partnership with Virginia Veterinary Specialists (VVS). As Medical Director, you’ll lead a passionate team, guide medical protocols, and mentor newer veterinarians—all while still practicing hands-on emergency medicine in a facility designed to support gold-standard care.
