Atlas has partnered with a fantastic clinic looking for an ambitious Medical Director to join their established two-doctor small animal hospital in Cincinnati, OH, with the opportunity to shape the hospital’s medical direction, culture, and future growth.

You’ll be joining a beautiful 5,000-square-foot hospital with six exam rooms, alongside two experienced veterinarians and a dedicated support team. This hospital has a strong foundation, but plenty of room to grow, and as Medical Director, you’ll have a genuine opportunity to influence how that growth happens.

This role combines clinical practice with meaningful leadership. You’ll mentor and develop the veterinary team, champion medical excellence, help attract and retain great doctors, and work closely with operational and medical leadership to strengthen the hospital. You’ll have the autonomy to lead while having a wider support network behind you; you’ll never be expected to figure it all out alone.

Take on a Medical Director role within an established, two-doctor small animal hospital in Cincinnati, OH.
Lead the hospital’s medical vision, standards and clinical development, while continuing to practice as a veterinarian
Mentor, coach and empower the veterinary team, helping doctors and support staff grow in confidence and capability
Help shape hospital culture and create a collaborative environment where the entire team can do their best work
Enjoy significant clinical autonomy, supported by experienced medical and operational leaders
Influence the hospital’s growth strategy, clinical capacity, team structure and overall client and patient experience

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree
Hold an Ohio State License or have the ability to obtain one
Have a couple of years clinical experience and you’re ready to take on a meaningful leadership position
Strong clinical judgement and are passionate about maintaining high standards of medical excellence while empowering other doctors to practice with autonomy
A natural leader who enjoys mentoring, coaching and developing those around you
Entrepreneurial mindset and enjoy spotting opportunities to improve a hospital, then turning those ideas into action.
Confident building relationships with clients, colleagues and support teams and are passionate about creating a positive, collaborative hospital culture.
