Job Description
I’m delighted to be partnering with a highly respected mixed-animal hospital in Creston, BC, seeking a dedicated, forward-thinking veterinarian to step into a Medical Director position while also contributing clinically as a practicing DVM.
The hospital has nearly 50 years of history serving the Creston Valley and surrounding rural communities, originally founded by Dr. Dave Perrin, whose “Adventures of a Country Vet” series still reflects the practice’s spirit today. With three full-time veterinarians, one part-time veterinarian, seasonal veterinary support, four RVTs, and a strong administrative and assistant team, the clinic is structured for success as it continues to grow. Approximately 70 percent of the caseload is small animal, with the remainder consisting largely of dairy, some beef, and a meaningful amount of equine work. There is a significant opportunity to expand equine services for those interested.
The facility includes digital and dental X-ray, portable radiography for field calls, ultrasound (portable and in-house), medical-grade laser therapy, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, and a full suite of large and small animal surgical equipment. As Medical Director, you will help guide clinical standards, support the development of early-career veterinarians, influence workflow and operational improvements, and help shape the next chapter of a practice with deep roots in the community.
Ideal candidates will bring strong communication skills, a high level of integrity, and a supportive, team-first approach. Whether you are an experienced Medical Director or an established veterinarian with natural leadership qualities, this position offers the chance to take a meaningful step forward in your career. For those interested, partnership opportunities may be available, creating a true pathway to ownership.
