Job Description
We are working on behalf of an established, full-service small animal practice in Longwood, FL that is looking to welcome an experienced Medical Director to lead its collaborative team of six veterinarians.
This is a well resourced hospital with a loyal client base, an experienced Practice Manager, and a genuine commitment to Fear Free medicine. It is backed by a leading veterinary support organization while keeping its own distinct culture and hospital level autonomy.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will continue to see patients and practice clinical medicine while providing medical leadership and strategic direction for the hospital, working closely with the Practice Manager and Operations Advisor on scheduling, budgeting, and annual planning. Just as importantly, you will mentor and coach the associate veterinarians, help shape their professional development plans, and support the wider team as it grows.
The hospital has built a strong culture around teamwork, mentorship, and continuous learning, and is looking for someone who wants to influence hospital growth and medical standards as much as they want to practice great medicine.
Compensation is structured to support you from day one, with ProSal and no negative accrual, monthly production payouts, a Medical Director stipend, and a guaranteed production bonus in year one so you have time to ramp up.
Longwood sits just north of Orlando and offers excellent schools, established neighborhoods, and easy access to springs, trails, and the rest of Central Florida.

- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Florida veterinary license in good standing, or eligibility for licensure
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical veterinary experience
- Prior leadership, mentoring, or management experience preferred
- Strong communicator who enjoys coaching and developing a team
- Passionate about high quality patient care and a great client experience
- Base salary of $130,000 to $155,000 plus a guaranteed year one production bonus
- 401(k) with company match, 100 percent on the first 3 percent and 50 percent up to 5 percent
