Job Description
This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role at a well-respected, full-service practice that has been serving its community since 2009 and is known for compassionate, comprehensive care.
The hospital currently operates with a 4-DVM team and offers a diverse caseload, covering everything from routine wellness and preventative care through to advanced diagnostics, surgery, and urgent care. This blend of scheduled and same-day cases keeps the role clinically engaging, while also allowing you to influence standards of care across a wide range of presentations. The practice is well-supported, giving you the tools and structure needed to practice high-quality medicine while also stepping into a leadership capacity.
We are looking for a DVM to join as a Lead for 4 days per week, with no weekends required!
As Medical Lead, you’ll play a central role in shaping the hospital’s direction. You’ll mentor and develop associate veterinarians, work closely with the Practice Manager on hospital performance, and help foster a positive, collaborative culture.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys clinical work but is ready to take the next step into leadership, combining hands-on medicine with team development, strategic input, and a genuine influence over how a hospital operates and evolves.
- Medical Lead position within a well-established 4-DVM small animal hospital
- Full-service caseload including wellness, diagnostics, surgery, advanced care, and urgent care
- Opportunity to mentor, develop, and lead a team of associate veterinarians
- Strong support structure, including Practice Manager partnership and wider network resources
- Access to internal specialist consultations and ongoing professional development
- Established hospital with an excellent reputation and loyal client base
- Competitive base salary of $140,000–$180,000
- DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
- You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in Colorado
- Minimum of 2+ years clinical experience in small animal practice
- Passion for mentorship, team development, and clinical excellence
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, leadership-oriented mindset
- Competitive base salary of $140,000–$180,000
- Leadership development opportunities and structured career progression
- Access to mentorship, CE resources, and internal specialist support
- Opportunity to influence hospital standards, culture, and performance
- Supportive, team-focused environment within a well-established practice
