Atlas is excited to be representing a well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Richmond, VA, which is seeking a Medical Director to lead their team.
This full-service hospital boasts an excellent reputation in the community for delivering exceptional veterinary care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, and laser surgery instruments, enabling the team to deliver advanced diagnostics and treatments. The caseload is varied, covering dogs, cats, pocket pets, exotics, and the occasional avian patient. The team is experienced, compassionate, and highly collaborative, creating a workplace where both seasoned clinicians and newer graduates can thrive.
As Medical Director, you will play a vital role not only in providing exceptional care but also in guiding, mentoring, and supporting your team. The position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on both the hospital’s culture and the quality of care delivered to its patients

- DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
- You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in Virginia
- You are passionate about high-quality medicine and maintaining AAHA standards
- You enjoy collaborating with and mentoring other veterinarians and support staff
- You are a strong communicator with a client-centered approach
