Atlas is excited to be working with a highly regarded small animal hospital in Sarasota, FL, seeking a Medical Director to lead its clinical team.
This is an opportunity to take on a leadership role while continuing to practice high-quality medicine, supported by a dedicated team of doctors, technicians, and a strong practice management team.
This hospital is full-service, well-established, and deeply rooted in the community. Equipped with modern diagnostics, surgical suites, ultrasound, digital radiography, and dentistry equipment, it’s set up for you to provide exceptional care while mentoring and developing the next generation of veterinarians.
As Medical Director, you’ll balance clinical duties with leadership responsibilities. You’ll guide associate doctors, support staff, and play a pivotal role in shaping the hospital’s culture, medical standards, and growth. Collaboration with the operations team and practice manager ensures you’ll have the tools and backing to succeed.

- DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
- You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; leadership or mentoring experience highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with a passion for team development
