Job Description
I’m partnering with a well-established, progressive small-animal hospital seeking an experienced Medical Lead Veterinarian to take on a pivotal leadership role on its team.
This is an opportunity for a clinically confident DVM who enjoys mentoring others, shaping medical standards, and playing an active role in the long-term success of a thriving hospital.
The practice operates from a modern, well-equipped facility and has a loyal, growing client base. The team comprises dedicated, collaborative veterinarians and experienced support staff who uphold high standards of medicine and deliver excellent client communication. The hospital is well-supported operationally, allowing the Medical Lead to focus on clinical leadership, coaching associate veterinarians, and driving continuous improvement in patient care.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Practice Manager to build an engaged, high-performing team, lead doctor meetings, support mentorship and externship programs, and help guide the hospital’s medical and operational direction. While this is a leadership position, you’ll remain hands-on clinically, practicing high-quality medicine and serving as a role model for efficiency, professionalism, and client service.
This is an ideal opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to step into leadership (or continue growing as a leader) within a supportive, growth-oriented environment that values collaboration, accountability, and professional development.

- At least 2 years of practical clinical experience
- Passion for mentorship, leadership, and team development
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, servant-leader mindset
- Competitive leadership-level compensation package
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Generous PTO and paid holidays
- CE allowance with paid CE time off
- Professional dues, licenses, and memberships covered
