Job Description
A well-established, full-service small animal hospital in Harlingen, TX, is seeking a new graduate Associate Veterinarian to join their experienced and welcoming team!
Serving the Rio Grande Valley community for nearly 45 years, this progressive, multi-doctor practice has grown into one of the most trusted names in the area, and they are now looking for a passionate new graduate veterinarian ready to take their first steps in clinical practice with the support of an experienced, collaborative team around them.
The hospital is a well-equipped, full-service facility with dedicated surgical and dental suites, digital radiography, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. The caseload spans wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and urgent care, with the occasional exotic patient, including birds, reptiles, ferrets, and rabbits, which adds real variety to your day. Record dictation software helps minimize administrative burden, giving you more time to focus on your patients.
You’ll be joining a team of 5 experienced, progressive, and collaborative doctors who are genuinely passionate about supporting the next generation of veterinarians. Dedicated 1:1 mentorship is available, alongside surgical mentorship through a sister hospital, and tailored development support to help you grow at your own pace. There is even the opportunity to help build out an urgent care model if that interests you.
With a 4-day workweek, a 5-day weekend once a month, and flexible scheduling, this practice is committed to sustainable, enjoyable careers for its team.
Located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley, Harlingen offers year-round outdoor activities, a vibrant food and culture scene, and a lower cost of living compared to many major US cities – a fantastic place to begin your veterinary career!
