Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated veterinarian to serve as Regional Medical Director for a group of progressive hospitals across the state of Kansas.
This leadership position offers the opportunity to set and maintain the highest standards of medical care while supporting veterinary teams in delivering exceptional patient outcomes and client service. The majority of this role will be remote, with occasional in-person visits to hospitals as needed to support team development and collaboration.
In this role, you will partner closely with the Regional Operations Director to lead clinical development, guide hospital teams toward best practices, and support individual doctors through coaching, performance reviews, and development plans. You’ll play a key role in recruiting and onboarding veterinarians, fostering leadership within each hospital, and building cohesive, high-functioning teams.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating and enhancing medical and surgical proficiency, client communication, charting accuracy, and adherence to standard protocols. You’ll lead regular one-on-one meetings with doctors, help set CE goals, and ensure hospitals maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
This is an ideal opportunity for a licensed DVM with previous multi-site or leadership experience. Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills are essential, along with a genuine passion for supporting teams and elevating the quality of care across multiple locations. If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact throughout Kansas while enjoying the flexibility of a largely remote role, we’d love to connect!
