As the Medical Director, you will lead a team of five experienced DVMs in a state-of-the-art, full-service clinic that treats small animals, exotics, pocket pets, and avian species. With over 40 years of combined experience among the team, you’ll find every day offers a unique challenge. The clinic boasts an impressive array of facilities, including ultrasound, ECG, dental x-ray, an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, radiography, and fully equipped surgical suites. Dedicated to fear-free handling methods, ensuring the best possible care for our patients.
In this role, you will take pride in managing the clinic’s daily operations. Your responsibilities will include recruiting future veterinary staff, sharing cultural and clinical updates with your team, and collaborating closely with doctors to support their clinical goals through training and mentorship. Building strong relationships across all departments, staying informed about operational KPIs, and communicating updates to leadership teams will also be key aspects of your role.
While overseeing management tasks, you will still have ample time to practice the medicine you love. You can tailor your caseload to align with your clinical interests and provide additional continuing education as needed. If mentoring is your passion, there are plenty of opportunities to incorporate it into your schedule.

They also minimize weekend work, with the clinic open on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm. You will typically work one Saturday per month, which is negotiable.

- You must hold a DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited college or its equivalent to qualify. You must also have an Arizona State License in good standing or be able to obtain one if relocating.
- We seek a candidate with at least 4 years of clinical experience as a veterinarian, with demonstrated leadership or management experience.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills are essential. Familiarity and experience with Fear-Free handling methods are required.

- Industry-Leading Base Salary: Starting between $170,000-$230,000+, based on experience.
- Sign-on Bonus: Up to $50,000, received with your first paycheck.
- Profit-Share/Stock Options: Available as an MD.
- Competitive Production: Paid quarterly on all services (including prescriptions), with no negative accrual.
- PTO Allowance: Increases over time.
- Relocation Support: Up to $15,000.
