They have a unique opportunity for a medical director to join their team, working alongside the leadership team to drive the hospital’s success. No two days will be the same, but day-to-day responsibilities will include mentoring less experienced veterinarians, assuring regulatory compliance, improving profitability, and providing leadership and direction to the wider team.
The hospital is an excellent stand-alone clinic and is equipped with an array of modern diagnostics and technology, including digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, digital dental radiography, video otoscope, cold laser therapy, and much more. This allows you to provide the best outcome to your patients.

- Well-established 3-doctor AAHA-accredited small animal hospital situated in Newport News, VA.
- Established over 60 years ago, with a long-standing and loyal client base
- This is an exciting opportunity to put your stamp on the future success of a 3-doctor hospital with support from the practice manager and wider leadership team
- Responsibilities include mentoring, assuring regulatory compliance, improving profitability, and providing leadership and guidance to the team
- Modern diagnostics and technology, including digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, digital dental radiography, video otoscope, and cold laser therapy
- Full or part-time options available
- No late nights or weekends!
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Must hold (or have the ability to obtain) a Virginia state license
- Prior leadership experience, specifically with mentoring less experienced veterinarians
- DEA license
- Fear Free Practices and/or Orthopedic experience is a bonus
