A well-established 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital in the St. Louis metro area is looking for experienced Emergency Veterinarians to join its dedicated team.
Being one of two locations in St Louis, MO, this hospital provides state-of-the-art emergency care in a fully renovated and well-equipped facility. If you are interested in a Medical Director opportunity, we do have a position available at their sister hospital in O’Fallon, MO.
This hospital focuses exclusively on emergency medicine, ensuring that veterinarians can dedicate their skills to urgent and critical cases without the demands of general practice. The facility is fitted with an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiology, fully equipped surgical suites, and access to an on-call radiologist, rapid diagnostics and effective treatment. The management team actively supports new technology and equipment investments, ensuring that doctors have the tools necessary to provide gold-standard care.
Veterinarians at this hospital benefit from exceptional support staff, with an average doctor-to-tech ratio of 1:3. Many of the technicians and assistants have decades of experience, allowing you to focus on your medical responsibilities while trusting that patients receive expert nursing care. For experienced emergency veterinarians, this opportunity offers competitive compensation and benefits. A guaranteed base salary starts at $150K per year, with negotiable pro-sal options. Typical full-time earnings range from $175K–$200K per year, with higher salaries available for those committing to overnight shifts or 12+ shifts per four weeks. Generous signing and retention bonuses are available, as well as a minimum of $10K in relocation assistance for full-time candidates or travel allowances for non-local veterinarians.
Flexible scheduling options include full-time benefits starting at just 10 shifts per four weeks, with CE allowance and license reimbursement available for part-time doctors working at least four shifts per month. - Experience working an ER caseload is ideal however mentorship can be provided to GP veterinarians looking to transition into ER
