Job Description
We are working with a thriving 6-doctor small animal hospital in Kyle, TX, that is excited to welcome a new Veterinary Medical Director to lead their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to combine leadership with clinical practice in a well-established, modern facility that prides itself on progressive medicine and a supportive, team-first culture.
The hospital is purpose-built with multiple exam rooms, surgical and dental suites, advanced diagnostic imaging (digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound), an in-house laboratory, and a dedicated treatment area. The hospital sees a diverse range of cases from Wellness, GP, UC, and Emergencies (when the schedule allows) for both small animals and exotic species.
Utilizing modern equipment and facilities, including digital x-rays, ultrasound, electronic medical records, and an appointment booking system, you will have all the tools necessary to provide high-quality veterinary care without compromising on quality.
The team includes experienced veterinarians alongside newer graduates, supported by a team of skilled technicians and assistants who maintain an excellent doctor-to-support-staff ratio. The practice encourages mentorship and collaboration, ensuring you’ll have the tools and the team to succeed.
As Medical Director, you’ll oversee medical standards, mentor associates, and help shape the hospital’s future direction while maintaining a clinical caseload. - DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
- You hold (or are eligible for) a Veterinary State License in Texas
- Confident DVM with strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ideally 5 years+ of clinical experience
- Excellent communicator who fosters a positive, collaborative environment
- Passionate about driving high standards of care and continuous improvement
