Are you a proven veterinary leader ready to make a meaningful impact across multiple hospitals? An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced DVM to step into a Regional Medical Director role covering the vibrant areas of Washington, DC and Maryland.
This position is ideal for a strong communicator, motivator, and medical professional who excels at elevating standards of care and building cohesive, high-performing teams.
You’ll partner closely with hospital teams and Regional Operations Directors to align clinical excellence with operational success. This is a hands-on leadership role where your influence will shape clinical practices, mentorship frameworks, and strategic medical decisions across multiple sites. You’ll support DVMs in their development, foster an engaging and accountable culture, and ensure hospitals deliver consistent, high-quality care to their communities.

- Oversee and elevate medical standards across a group of hospitals in DC and Maryland
- Collaborate with operations leaders to optimize hospital performance
- Support and mentor DVMs through regular evaluations and development plans
- Influence hospital protocols, workflow efficiency, and clinical quality
- Drive recruitment and onboarding of veterinarians and paraprofessional teams
- Represent the organization at veterinary colleges and in professional communities
- Shape strategic decisions on capital investment and medical inventory
- DVM or equivalent degree with an active veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a multi-site or ownership setting preferred
- Strong communicator with a talent for inspiring teams and resolving challenges
- Comfortable with data-driven decisions and performance-based leadership
- Passionate about mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement
