Exceptional Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity – Flourish in a Growing Specialty Hospital!
Are you a passionate, board-certified veterinary surgeon looking for your next exciting opportunity in sunny South Florida? This thriving specialty and emergency hospital near Fort Lauderdale is searching for a dedicated surgeon to join its dynamic and growing team!
This proudly privately owned hospital, founded in 2018, is led by a compassionate, hands-on leadership team who are deeply involved in daily operations. Known for its collaborative, low-turnover culture, the hospital has grown from 14 to over 120 employees in just a few years, offering 24/7 emergency and specialty care—including internal medicine, oncology, and surgery—and plans to expand into additional specialties.
Currently operating in a spacious 8,400 sq. ft. facility, the hospital is on track to open a brand-new, state-of-the-art 19,000 sq. ft. facility within the next year. The new site will boast 3 dedicated operating rooms (plus a 4th overflow suite), advanced diagnostics (CT, MRI), 12 exam rooms, separate ICU and ER spaces, and plenty of room to grow your surgical caseload.
You’ll be stepping into a well-supported role, joining a team of 12+ ER doctors, internists, another surgeon, an oncologist, and a fully staffed nursing team. The hospital fosters a collaborative environment where surgeons work closely together, sharing cases, scrubbing in on complex procedures, and supporting each other with seamless vacation coverage.
What’s the schedule? A typical surgical week is 4 days (8 am–6 pm), but there’s flexibility if you prefer a 3-day condensed week.
About the area: Located just 40 minutes north of Miami, this vibrant coastal community offers an unbeatable lifestyle. Enjoy beautiful beaches, world-class restaurants, endless cultural activities, and fantastic outdoor adventures year-round.
